Raleigh's after-work crowd splits two ways: North Hills, the Midtown retail-and-rooftop grid — or Glenwood South and the Villages, the Creamery Building steakhouses, wine bars, and Cameron Village patios. Same city, different night. Here is how the cited windows compare.

North Hills: the Midtown grid

Firebirds Wood Fired Grill (4350 Lassiter at North Hills Avenue) posts Happy Hour every Monday through Friday 2pm–6pm in the FIREBAR and on the patio, with the Double Black Diamond martini $7.95, classic cocktails $7.95, select wine glasses $6, well drinks $5, and $2 off all draft beers. Sixty Vines (4000 Center at North Hills) posts Happy Hour all day Monday ($3 off 5oz pours of select wines; $3 off specialty cocktails, Wheatley espresso martini, and brews; $2 off shared plates) and Tuesday–Friday 3pm–6pm ($2 off shared plates). Yard House (4208 Six Forks Road) posts Monday–Friday 3pm–6pm with $2 off draft beer, wine, spirits, and cocktails, $3 off 9oz wine pours, $4 off half yards, and half off select appetizers and all pizzas — plus late-night drink specials Sunday–Wednesday from 10pm to close. North Hills is the district for an early start and a late option on the same block.

Glenwood South and the Villages: steak, wine, patios

Sullivan's Steakhouse (410 Glenwood Avenue, Glenwood South) posts Happy Hour Monday–Thursday 3pm–6pm with bar bites starting at $10, tiered at $10, $15, $20, and $25 — cheesesteak eggrolls and ahi tuna poke at $10, prime steak sliders and the Angus burger at $15, crab cake sliders and shrimp cocktail at $20, lobster roll and pork belly trio at $25. Seasons 52 (4325 Glenwood Avenue) posts Monday through Friday 3pm–6pm for $7 wines by the glass, or a glass with a flatbread for $14. Postino Village District (401 Daniels Street) posts $6 glasses of wine and $6 pitchers of beer daily, plus a board of bruschetta and a bottle of wine for $25 after 8pm Monday and Tuesday. This side dresses up a little and stays out later.
